Today, the 15th of June is the 172nd anniversary of Edvard Greig’s birth.

He was a Norwegian composer and pianist and is considered one of the leading composers in the romantic era.  Today, the 15th of June at 6 o’clock there will be a birthday celebration at Troldhaugen. This year the celebration will be bigger than ever, with a concert and a huge garden party.

There is no better way to celebrate the birth of one of the leading composers who helped Norway develop a national identity during the romantic era.
